Description
Motor speed regulator (Dimmer) 230V, up to 2500W, with minimum speed adjustment. It is provided with a rotary potentiometer. Connection without Neutral.
The ED-3 is a surface mounting dimmer 230V a.c./50Hz for controlling asynchronous single-phase motors operating approximately at 50-100% of rated speed, as it is for example motors in ventilation installations. It is necessary to control the lower speed of the electric motor in order to avoid overheating and damage.
It has a potentiometer that allows to adjust the speed to the desired point of the user, from a lower preset limit to the maximum.
The lower speed limit shall be adjusted with the trimmer provided by the device as follows:
Set the main potentiometer to the minimum, adjust the trimmer with the help of a small screwdriver, turn it to the right, until the point that the engine rotates well. Now the dimmer adjusts the engine speed from the lower speed limit to the maximum.
The device also has an ON/OFF switch to turn the motor ON and OFF
CAUTION: The switch does not isolate the power line, only the drive circuit.
